Mark Arena is a Perth-born cyber security entrepreneur. After roles with the Australian Federal Police, ASC and ERG Transit Systems, Mr Arena co-founded US-based cybersecurity startup Intel 471 in 2014. He stepped back as chief executive of Intel 471 in 2023, following a significant investment by private equity firm Thoma Bravo in 2021. As of 2023, he also chairs the board of Melbourne-founded, US-based counter-drone-security company DroneSec. Based in Europe for a decade, Mr Arena returned to Australia in 2022 and is understood to be based in Perth once more.
