Justin Dhu is a proud Banjima man with experience in governance, community engagement, and advocacy within the Indigenous sector.
He joined Gumala Aboriginal Corporation in 2016 as a Governance Advisor and became the executive officer in 2018.
In his role as executive officer, Mr Dhu led the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring sustainable growth and advancement for its stakeholders in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Under his leadership, Gumala has remained focused on empowering and supporting Indigenous Australians, working to foster strong relationships with government, corporate, and community partners.
Prior to this, Mr Dhu held various leadership roles in the Indigenous sector, where he gained valuable experience in governance and community advocacy.
He holds an Advanced Diploma in Indigenous Legal Studies and a Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of Western Australia.
