Mr Katz was general manager of investment sales at Mirvac Group where he was the person and responsible officer for the Mirvac real estate licence, dealing with their registered and unregistered schemes. He is the director of a number of companies within the Investec Group. He was previously a director of the Property Investors Association of Australia.
