George Sakalidis is an exploration geophysicist with over 25 years of industry experience in extensive gold, diamond, base metals and mineral sands exploration. Mr Sakalidis has been involved in a number of significant mineral discoveries, including the Three Rivers and Rose gold deposits in Western Australia and the tenement applications over the Silver Swan nickel deposit. He was also instrumental in the design of the magnetic surveys and exploration drilling program that led to the discovery of the large mineral sands resources at Magnetic Minerals's Dongara Project.
Mr Sakalidis was a founding director and shareholder of Magnetic Resources since its incorporation in 2006, and was managing director until 2014. He rejoined the board in 2016 as non-executive director and became managing director in 2017.
