Fabienne Sharbanee was admitted to practice in Western Australia in 1999. She is an experienced litigator with a broad ranging experience which extends to all Western Australian jurisdictions. Her work is primarily focused on the areas of civil and commercial litigation including contractual disputes, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, tortious claims (including for defamation, bailment, conversion and detinue) and claims in equity. Her special interest area is defamation and media law, having advised clients in this area for over 15 years. Ms Sharbanee has had the conduct of a numerous defamation matters in the Supreme Court of Western Australia. Her clients in defamation have included high profile individuals, company directors, sporting figures, education professionals and institutions, health professionals and government officials. She acts for private and corporate clients drawn from a range of industries.
