Ellen Comerford

Ellen Comerford has over 30 years of financial services experience in Australia and overseas, across a number of banking and insurance businesses. Ms Comerford's responsibilities covered both executive and directorship roles and experiences gained include strategy planning and business development, commercial and operation management, product and relationship management, with ongoing focus on leadership development and people engagement.

She was chief executive and managing director of Genworth Mortgage Insurance Australia, an ASX top 200 listed company. Before joining Genworth, she worked at First American Financial Corporation, a leading global title and specialty insurance company for close to a decade.

Ms Comerford is a member of Chief Executive Women, an organisation focused on increasing women's representation in senior leadership across Australia. As a passionate advocate of corporate social responsibility, she has also championed a number of initiatives over time with various community partners including those addressing the challenge of disability and homelessness in Australia (eg. Vinnie's CEO Sleepout and Forsight Foundation). Ms Comerford worked with the Australian Business Community Network Council and other business leaders to provide opportunities and learning skills to both leaders of low socio-economic schools and disadvantaged students.
