Fresh approach key for local entrepreneurs
WA’s top entrepreneurs don’t rely on the resources boom to support their business growth; instead the key lies in the power of innovation.
Daniel Tucker AM is a highly respected and successful Aboriginal leader and businessman. He is the founding managing director of Carey Group (Carey Mining) and has been its director since inception in 1995, and a founder and chair of the Carey Education Trust.
Mr Tucker has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry, having held executive roles in ASX-listed public companies and other private companies.
He has also won numerous industry and government awards. He was one of 12 appointees to the former Prime Minister’s Indigenous Advisory Council.
In 2020, Mr Tucker was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant services to mining and to the Indigenous community.

INDIGENOUS contractor Carey Mining has taken another step towards diversifying its business by establishing a new jointly owned company focused on solar power installations in regional areas.
