
Craig Mitchell founded trucking company Mitchell Corporation in 1997, which he sold in 2011. He later co-founded Outback Network in 2012, which holds interests in a number of Pilbara based Outback Travel Centres and Newman Capricorn Accommodation Village.
In 2006, Mr Mitchell was awarded the Ernest & Young entrepreneur award.
In 2019, he founded trucking and logistics company Newhaul, which formed a joint venture with Fenix Resources called Premium Newhaul, to which Mr Mitchell was appointed chair and chief executive. Seven months later, he formed another logistics joint venture with aspiring sulphate of potash producer Agrimin and became chief executive of the new venture named Newhaul Bulk.
