Fortescue Metals names new CFO
Andrew Forrest’s iron ore business has recruited US-based energy executive Christine Morris as its new chief financial officer.

Christine Morris is a chief financial officer with over 30 years of experience across the energy, media and telecom, manufacturing and technology sectors.
Ms Morris started as chief financial officer of Fortescue Metals in mid-2023 but resigned in August of that year. Prior to that, she has been the chief financial officer of Maersk Drilling in Copenhagen where she was responsible for finance and the global business services team, chief financial officer of oilfield services company BJ Services, and had spent seven years at Halliburton in various senior finance roles.
Ms Morris has also been a board member and audit committee chair for DOF ASA, a provider of integrated offshore services to the energy industry.
