
Chris Clark has over 30 years of experience in the public sector, working across a range of different service areas.
He was appointed coordinator general in September 2024, a role which gained prominence in September 2025 when WA Labor proposed sweeping reform which would give Mr Clark legislated power to coordinate approvals across agencies and enforce measures to speed up the approvals process for projects of significance.
Mr Clark was previously the deputy director general of resources and project facilitation at the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation in Western Australia. This role entailed facilitating and assisting the development of significant projects within Western Australia, ranging from the resources and oil and gas sector through to agriculture and tourism.
