Long-serving Wesfarmers directors to retire
Wesfarmers has announced that Colin Carter and Charles Macek will step down as non-executive directors after the company's AGM to be held in Perth on November 20 2014.
Charles Macek is chair of the Sustainable Investment Research Institute, Racing Information Services Australia, and vice-chair of the IFRS Advisory Council (formerly the Standards Advisory Council of the International Accounting Standards Board). He is also a member of the investment committee of Unisuper and the AICD Corporate Governance Committee. With a strong background in corporate governance and a long career in financial services working at a senior executive level, Mr Macek has extensive experience in formulating strategy and advising on off-shore and on-shore investment opportunities.

Andrew Forrest has added to his diverse business portfolio, purchasing global renewable energy development company Windlab in a consortium with Sydney-based Federation Asset Management.
