Dr Bennie Ng is the general manager of partnerships and strategy at Healthscope, a leading healthcare provider in Australia. He joined the Australian Medical Association's WA office in September 2019 as chief executive.
Dr Ng commenced his career as a general practitioner, and was the head of social policy at the Office of the Prime Minister. In addition to a health advisory role to the Australian Government, he has held other senior positions in strategy, services planning and general management including as head of clinical services planning at the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, general manager of cancer medicine and director of medical services at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.
Dr Ng has wide experience in general practice, medical policy & health management, and understands the AMA and health in WA.
He has a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Western Australia, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
