Cole, Atkins join Ausdrill board
Mining services contractor Ausdrill has continued its board renewal, including the appointment of its first female director, just weeks after company founder Ron Sayers retired.
Alexandra Atkins is a mining engineer, geotechnical engineer and geologist with over 30 years of experience within the mining industry in Australia and PNG.
Ms Atkins has held several executive roles including as senior mining engineer of AMC Consultants, district inspector of mines for the WA Department of Mines & Petroleum, principal mining consultant of Optiro, and chief operating officer for mining-focused artificial intelligence company PETRA Data Science.
Ms Atkins started her own mining, risk and innovation consultancy firm in June 2017. She became the first female director on the board of Ausdrill.
Ms Atkins has an MBA (Finance) from the Australian Institute of Business. She is a Chartered Professional Fellow of The Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (The AusIMM); and a Fellow, National Registered Engineer and EngExec of Engineers Australia.
