The former Company Kentz was a global engineering specialist solutions provider, with 14,500 employees operating in 30 countries worldwide. It provided engineering, construction and technical support services to clients in the energy and resources sectors for more than 90 years. Kentz was previously listed on the London Stock Exchange (symbol: KENZ) and was a member of the FTSE 250, until it was acquired by SNC-Lavalin in mid 2014. The company underwent a rebrand with legacy Kentz rebranded as SNC-Lavalin and also the creation of a sub-brand SNC-Lavalin Kentz Field Operations which represents the legacy Kentz specialist skills in construction and technical field services. In 2021, SNC Lavalin sold it's oil and gas business to Kenttech, which now trades as Kent.
