WA distilleries among world's best
Two Western Australian distilleries are making their mark on the world stage, with Hippocampus Metropolitan Distillery and Limeburners both winning international awards this week.
Hippocampus Metropolitan Distillery was formed in 2014 by a group associated with the Little Creatures brewing success: directors Howard Cearns, Nic Trimboli and David Martin teamed up with ex-Little Creatures chief financial officer Jason Markwart and Jye Glaskin, the brewery’s former representative in Melbourne, for the venture. In 2017 the distillery moved to Melbourne and became part of craft brewery Boatrocker.
