Cockatoo Island mine gets new owner
A private Hong Kong-based entity is purchasing a high-grade iron ore mine on Cockatoo Island from its former owner, Pluton Resources.
Cockatoo Island Mining is a private company established in August 2018 to acquire a portfolio of mining tenements on Cockatoo, Irvine and Bathurst Islands in the Buccaneer Archipelago of Western Australia. The acquisition of these tenements was completed in October 2020.
