AdventBalance was a law firm operating in the 'NewLaw' paradigm. The firm operated as a fixed-fee, secondment law firm that provides an alternative to traditional legal services. It was formed by the 2012 merger of Perth-based Balance Legal, and the Sydney-based Advent Lawyers, which were both founded in 2008; Balance by Ken Jagger, and Advent by John Knox. In the years that followed becoming AdventBalance, the firm expanded into Asia attracting international attention. In 2016 AdventBalance announced a merger with London-based LOD (Lawyers on Demand) to create a firm straddling Europe, Asia, and Australia.
