Good Morning, so… the entire Geelong city council will be “kicked out” today out of parliament for “failure to deliver”… If you turned up to work every morning with purple hair and sunglasses, your boss may not be too happy, right? Image is important and you certainly don’t see an ASX listed director coming to work looking like this… Maybe they should, boosting their stock prices for once?

As we approach May, a lot of questions are being asked on whether global central bank intervention is actually, effective….

Good Morning, happy Friday….Well, once again, it hasn’t been a great week on markets… US stocks “sank” (Dow Jones -177 points) amid uncertainty that recent policy intervention from global central banks is doing nothing to drive growth… Well… This is a worry, right? What should I be doing right about now?

Weakening credit growth, flat earnings and a huge exposure to the mining services and energy sectors, won’t help the bad and doubtful debt cycle… but is this a turning point? Should investors be buying the banks right now? Not just yet….

ATM machine upstart Stargroup say they are now paying off the capital invested in each ATM machine in just 15 months due to massive increases in revenues and solid average transactions per machine. The company says it smashed its previous best quarterly ATM revenue record last quarter by a whopping 65% to post its 9th consecutive record quarter.

We are calling a top in the US market short-term as global growth falters… tighten your stops, lock profits and even take some short positons… the JPY is strengthening.. gold is strengthening,.. IMF has called for weak growth… we see downside risk short-term, especially as we head into May… not the best of news on this Wednesday morning…

ASX listed Alterra, formally known as Carbon Conscious, is now debt free and have an additional $2m in cash to pursue new opportunities after settling the sale of their New Zealand forestry plantations for AUD$3.2m. The company is now looking to expand its agri-business by bringing a new concept of dairy farming known as “System 5” to W.A.

This week we have a large amount of data in AUS, which will give us some great insight into what is actually happening on the macro-economic front… Retail sales, RBA interest rate decision tomorrow, followed by inflation…. We feel that the RBA must cut interest rates and ensure that it follows the lead of the “big boys” such as japan, Europe and US and stimulate our economy… We need all the help we can get right now… so tomorrow, marks as an important day.

A “pinch” and a punch”, yes it is April 1 and don’t be fooled this morning…. New tax cuts? A promotion? Markets rallying the most in ten years… what we do know, that it is Friday and we are looking forward to the weekend. So the question is: will markets rally in April and what the catalysts will be?

Burleson Energy’s Israel based Sky & Space Global have inked a deal with an Australian company that will see them provide satellite communications services to aviation, marine and recreational markets. SSG will intergrate ESSTRACK'S unique satelite tracking and comms systems into their nano-satellite network.  

Blackham Resources midas touch has continued at its Wiluna Gold mine with a 1.5m drill intersection grading 47.8 grams per tonne gold or a whopping ounce and a half of gold per tonne. An exploration target at the Golden Age Offset of between 40k and 320k ounces at 6-10 g/t gold has also been struck. 

Burleson Energy have easily raised $4.5m to complete the acquisition of Israeli nano-satellite company Sky and Space Global. The company announced this week Danish nano-satellite manufacturer Gom Space, has commenced construction of SSG’s first three nano-satellites.

The Standard & Poor's 500 Index climbed for a third day after yesterday posting the strongest increase in two weeks as Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen signalled officials will be cautious in raising rates due to heightened economic risks overseas. The dollar headed for its steepest monthly drop since 2010.

For the first time in a long time, Janet Yellen speaks… markets rally… is a new trend forming? Doubtful. Although interest rates in the US aren’t going to rise anytime soon, we are still cautious on global growth… Australian banks now down 8% in two trading days… really? There is an opportunity forming…

The intrigue around Legend Mining’s Fraser Range project is building as the company prepares to undertake two Down Hole Survey’s in search of the source of two strong magnetic conductors. The company believes it may have just missed the conductors with its drill holes and the downhole survey is capable of detecting conductors up to 100m off hole. 

With Easter over, we are now turning our attention to macro-data and these will be the main driving points for this week… US employment and manufacturing will be “on-show” on Friday night and with Janet Yellen talking tomorrow night, things will certainly get interesting…. Banks will also be in focus, following ANZ’s admission that bad debts have risen…

So… tomorrow is good Friday and yes, we can sleep in… global markets look like they are getting a little bit “tired” and we need to ask ourselves whether the Easter bunny will bring us some chocolates to wake us up… the key question for markets now is “what are the catalyst” to drive us higher….?

Last night, another terrorist attack hit. This time in Brussels. Markets held up ok, while gold rallied on the back of a “flight to safety”… This Easter, spend some quality time with your family and friends as this is really important. Over $19 Billion of dividends will be returned to shareholders this week. Will this boost markets?

Good Morning. A bit of friendly “fire” this morning with Abbott questioning Turnbull’s stance to call an early election. Obama just last week has also thrown a few “cheap” shots at trump, as things “heat up”… so what impact will both have on markets?

Global markets continued to rally on Friday night, following yellen’s move to leave interest rates on hold for an extended period. We attended the Grand Prix on Saturday and although it certainly is a boost to the economy, we are glad it is over… This week, we have the chairman of Bega Cheese coming for a PEAKTV interview…. So keep an eye for this… happy Monday…

In a supreme show of faith in ASX listed Analytica’s urinary incontinence medical device technology, its Chairman Dr Michael Monsour has agreed to take a $1m placement at a price nearly 18 percent higher than that offered to the general shareholder base and a new cornerstone investor who has also committed to a $500k placement. 

Global markets rallied last night, as the USD continued to fall and commodities rebounded. Emerging Markets rallied and Crude Oil hit $41.00/barrel, a level not seen for over 6 months… But is this just the beginning? Combined with a strong Feb Business Survey, we could now see a sustained rally back towards 5,500 level…. Happy Friday…

There’s an old saying in the exploration business - “If you want to hunt for elephants you need to go to elephant country." That message certainly hasn’t been lost on Sipa Resources who have just muscled into well known elephant country in the Pilbara that hosts the 10m ounce Telfer Gold mine and the 30 000 tonne a year Nifty Copper mine. Sipa will spend $3m to earn 80%.

Good morning… Finally, Janet Yellen listens to us, sits on her hands and advises the market that US interest rates will only rise twice this year. Commodities Rally. USD Falls. Global Markets Jump… The only uncertainty now is what impact a Donald Trump presidential win would have on the AUS-US relationship… only time will tell…

A major part of Stargroup’s plan is about to come to fruition with the appointment of 20 agents nationwide who will resell their EFTPOS and PAYWAVE offering to businesses around the country.They are aiming to place 30 EFTPOS terminals a month into businesses up until July and 100 a month thereafter as their network of agents grows to over 100 by midyear. 

Blackham Resources haven’t wasted any time in putting their recent $20m capital raise to good use with the key refurbishment contract at the old Wiluna Gold plant now approved for signing. Blackham’s DFS predicts the project will bank $234m over 7 years which is not bad considering they only dished out around $6m to buy it and $32m to refurbish the plant. 

Burleson Energy acquisition Sky and Space Global have pre-sold 100% of the telecommunications bandwidth from their first constellation of “nano-satellites” to be launched in 2017. The company says that just 100 units should provide revenues of between $300m and $500m per annum and produce up to 1 000 000 000  minutes of voice, messaging and data air time a year.

Just when we thought that global markets are starting to stabilise, Citigroup has to come out and ruin the party… US Stocks held up well overnight, even with Citigroup’s remarks… But is the recent rally unjustified? It all comes down to the US dollar…

Blackham Resources has added another 40 000 ounces of gold to its resource and another $20m to its bank account after a successful drilling campaign followed by an equally successful oversubscribed capital raise. The headline result from the campaign was 11.5m @ 5.08 grams per tonne gold which included a 7m intersection grading 7.01 grams per tonne gold.

Hammer Resources and heavyweight partner Newmont are currently processing and modelling geophysical data gleaned from the first round of field programs at Hammer’s Mt Isa project. Hammer are also focusing on their own 100% owned tenements including the Scalper prospect that retunred a result of 23 metres at 1.1% Copper and 0.27g/t gold.
