Strategic Campaign Director - Marine, Babcock Australasia
Alex is the Strategic Campaign Director – Maritime at Babcock Australia, where he is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that shape the future direction of the company’s maritime capabilities.
He brings over 14 years of service in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) as a Maritime Warfare Officer, having served across a diverse range of naval platforms. During his tenure, he also held key roles in capability management, particularly in the development and support of amphibious and auxiliary vessels, ensuring operational readiness and effectiveness across the fleet.
In addition to his naval career, Alex is a qualified Naval Architect and has held various engineering, business management, capture, and business development roles within the defence industry. His experience spans several leading defence organisations, including BMT, Saab, and Babcock.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science from the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) alongside his engineering qualifications and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
