Real estate agency LAWD has opened an office in West Perth to expand its national reach and strengthen its growth in the Western Australian market.
LAWD's WA presence was established in July 2021, with Simon Wilkinson appointed as transactions director to oversee a three-person team.
Among the transactions the agency has brokered is the $100 million sale of Cherylton Farms, 23 kilometres south-west of Kojonup in January.
LAWD senior director Danny Thomas said the WA property market was attracting national and international buyers.
“We are now seeing a number of buyers, including both domestic institutions and foreign investors, looking to the west in search of greater value than can be found in the eastern states or overseas,” he said.
“As a firm committed to achieving optimal results for our clients and the industries within which we operate, this office was the natural next step as we continue to expand both our geographic footprint and service offering in specialist property throughout Australia.”
LAWD chief executive Enda Foley said the company has continued to expand since its inception in 2020 and the new WA team would provide LAWD industry knowledge and services directly to the local market.
“The Perth headquarters will ensure we have specialist staff with local skills on the ground who can collaborate with the national team, made up of some of Australia’s pre-eminent property professionals, who are entrenched in the industry and connected with relevant stakeholders throughout the globe,” she said.
The new office will welcome seven staff members.
LAWD is headquartered in Melbourne with offices in Brisbane and Sydney.
