Peter Cook is a geologist and mineral economist with extensive experience in the exploration, project, operational and corporate management of mining companies. He has founded, and served as managing director or chair of many successful mining and resource development companies dealing in gold and base metals.
Mr Cook also has considerable expertise in corporate and project management across a range of commodities at all stages of resource development.
Mr Cook was the chief executive of Metals X, chair of Pantoro (formerly Pacific Niugini), and director of Aziana until it became Brainchip.
He was awarded the GMJ Mining Executive Of The Year in 2001, the Asia-Mining Executive Of The Year awarded at the Mines and Money Conference in Hong Kong in 2015, the Mining News CEO Of The Year in 2018, and the Gavin Thomas Mining Award in 2019.
Mr Cook holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Geology and a Master of Science in Mineral Economics.
