Peter Batten has over 35 years of national and international experience in the resources industry as a geologist, mine manager and consultant.
His corporate experience includes time as managing director of Bannerman Resources, taking it from an early stage exploration company through to feasibility study and listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He also listed Berkeley Resources on the ASX before taking the company to China and in 2010, guided White Canyon Uranium through initial production in Utah, USA and completing the company’s listing on the TSX-V. Mr Batten became the managing director of Haranga Resources in September 2023.
Mr Batten has worked on nickel, gold, graphite, uranium and iron ore focussed projects. He has also worked in projects across Australia, Botswana, Brazil, Guinea, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar, Namibia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden, USA and Zimbabwe.
Mr Batten is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Geological Society of Australia. He is a graduate of Curtin University and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Geology.
