McIntosh & Son was founded in 1955 by Les McIntosh in Wongan Hills, Western Australia. He initially partnered with John Parker, but bought out Parker's share in 1956 to become the sole owner.
McIntosh & Son is a leading Australian dealership group specialising in agricultural (farm), construction and grounds care machinery, incorporating sales, finance, service and parts.
With 12 dealerships strategically located across Western Australia and Queensland, including McIntosh Distribution, a national importer and wholesaler of agricultural machinery including Miller, Morris, Integrated Harrington Seed Destructor (iHSD) and LiuGong. Employing more than 650 people, the group continues to demonstrate its commitment and support for the agricultural industry in Australia.
In 2021 McIntosh Group was appointed the Australian national distributor for Case Construction Equipment and acquired Dandenong-based Case Vic. A third division of the group was formed: McIntosh CE.
In 2022, the company acquired farm equipment business Staines Esperance in July and Midwest agricultural dealership Purcher International two week's later.
In 2023, McIntosh acquired two more WA businesses, Perkins Machinery and Baxters Rural Centre.
